My name is Sondra Scott, I have been a Reiki Master/Teacher since 1995. The following are excerpts from my book that I am currently writing.... In writing to you, I only ask that you read with an open mind, no questions, only believe. Believe in yourself and the whole story comes together. There are times during my writings that I receive messages from my Spiritual Guide(s), they are italicized.

Introduction.....

Time has passed with much thought of what I want to write about, and how I feel my journey to the meditative world or the other side has enhanced my thoughts immensely. The things and ideas that have crossed my mind are exceptional; although unrealistic, it would seem to many. However, I have learned and gained much experience and adventure. Each day is like a new day, with the unexpected.

What I would like to share with others is how I came to this part of my life; my happy and I feel complete life. With my business, the joy, happiness, and yes the warmth that comes from within me is wonderful. I feel all tingly during my treatments, the colors are grand, from greens to purples yellows and blues.. all the chakra colors. It is amazing what you can see when you focus. My body shakes, trembles and sways, with these sensations, how could you say I was strange.

Sometimes I feel, that if someone were to see me, they would say, "Who is that loony Aesthetician"? Well, I don't care what anyone thinks, for I feel the best I have in years. The strong energy that is channeled through me is amazing. I am so grateful for what the Universe has given to me. God, I thank you for this healing energy to pass on to my clients and family and all that wish to receive. These electrifying sensations are stimulating and yet relaxing. It kind of takes me into another dimension, if I may say so, without becoming to strange.

Yes, I feel different, inside, although I am not different on the outside. Although many of my friends and family have stated that I am different, but in a better way. I am at more peace, seem to know where I am going and what is in the future. Although, only the almighty God knows where we are headed. I am just here to fulfill my mission as a healer.

My goals in life have never been written on paper, they have just happened. God has laid a path before me and I have followed. As I have journeyed down these paths, I have gained wisdom and knowledge. Sometimes as we walk down these many paths, we do not grab onto all that is given. I feel that those I grabbed on were more beneficial than those that I passed were. I have learned from every walk of my life and will continue to learn through my many walks and voyages.

Trust in me, when I say you too can be here with me. It is just a mind thing or should I say a "God Mind" thing. Know that God is within each and everyone of us and with his help and direction, you can achieve many things. Many times we say, "I pray and pray and God doesn't answer my questions…." Well, guess what? We just do not take the time to listen. Listen you will hear your answers. How many times have you asked a question and an answer has come forth? Many… yes…many…. That is not yourself talking to you, it is God or your higher spiritual being. Listen to it, take direction, and follow that path, for you will find joy at the end of that path, It has for me.

In The Beginning......

In sharing what I do, I need to start from the beginning..

It rather happened in a very 90's way, the computer…. I was playing online (AOL) and I ran or should I say I connected as it was suppose to be to, a man, that became my friend and to this day, we remain friends. He lived in TX and I in CA…after months of talking via the computer and via telephone, we set-up a time to meet while he was to be in San Diego on a business trip.

His voice was that of a Texans, as I thought a Texan should sound like. His voice was deep with that Southern drawl. We had shared much through the months, so I had no fear in meeting him other than a little twinge of excitement. I had not seen a picture of him, but he knew what I looked like. I thought Oh God, what if he is not attractive,…( at this time in my life, the physical attraction was important.. it has since changed) Well that didn't matter really, because the friendship that grew from this encounter was just the beginning of a deep loving relationship that I am sure we will take to the other world…..

Dennis and I met, he was not what I thought he would look like. I thought he would be much taller and a different physique. Nevertheless, he had that sparkle in his eyes, that sincerity in his voice and the energy that love revolved all around him. We talked for a long time, it was like we knew each other, (and I believe we have been together before in another lifetime) and he feels the same way.

After much talk, we set a time to meet the next morning, taking him to see Coronado Bay. Dennis had never been and neither had I, so we journeyed off together. We walked to the beach, he had never experienced the Pacific Ocean and I being from the West Coast have seen the Pacific Ocean since I was a child … He loved it, we talked and laughed. The day came to end and sadly, we had to leave and go our separate way.

Before I dropped him off at his hotel, he had mentioned some names of books that he was reading. He said that I might think that he was weird because the context of the books was different. I asked him to share, I told him I would think no different of him…I am so glad, he mentioned and shared it with me, this was the beginning to my education on "Healing Energy."

A Reiki Master in Dallas, Texas recommended the names of these books. She told him to read these books and then he would be ready to be initiated as a Reiki Practitioner. Reiki is a Japanese art in healing…. Hands on healing, laying on the hands. When I arrived home I picked up these books and began to read.. I was fascinated, you can say totally mesmerized in these books and what they had to say. It talked about peace and love and everyone has the ability to heal oneself. We just need to look within ourselves…

The books started me on my way to the spiritual world. I located my Reiki Master, Susan Cord she gives guidance on Reiki and attunes you to different levels. She attuned me to Level I & II of Reiki and became a Practitioner, within a month from when I was first introduced to this kind of therapy.

Dennis and I were great together, over the months; we were able to share with each other what experiences we were having. He also became attuned to Level I and II of Reiki. I was fortunate to have been able to use my new technique daily, and have every day since, being aware of this new energy channeling.

Dennis and I would talk for hours on end. Just sharing what we read. We seemed to always read the same books, we shared with each other what we were reading. We just could not get enough. It was exciting. He was really, the only one I could share in the beginning, and he was so insightful. We truly became one….

As the months went by, Dennis and I formed a new level within our friendship, we started to care more for each other, we fell deeply in love. We would think the same, somewhat. We would share what we thought, and how we both interrupted our beliefs and readings. Dennis, coming from a more spiritual level, he understood and could explain more than I could. He had been a Deacon in his church. He gave sermons, and was a counselor.

I was brought up Catholic and had different understandings. Every person finds his or her peace in something or someone. I could not find it in Catholicism, I never understood why is it that if God is loving and caring, why would we be damned if we said or did something that didn't meet the eyes of Catholicism? I knew in my heart that there was something else out there that would make sense and work for me. I have found this peace within myself where God resides. Peace can be found, just look within and open your soul it is there.

As a child, I always thought that I could talk to God from wherever I was and that I did not need to go to a church or building to worship the almighty. However, as a catholic family, we would go to church, it was what we HAD to do. At times, I would feel good about going but not as I feel NOW. I feel so close to God and all my spiritual beings. I know they are right here with me. Taking care of me and directing me on my path.

Dennis and I remain friends to this day. Our paths have taken us in other directions. I thank God for allowing me to meet him, for without his friendship I would still be searching for the peace I have found through the "Healing Energy".

The Light.......

As I had mentioned in the last 2 years, many things have changed for me… and that is because I have looked within myself. Within each one of us is a guiding and shining light. Sometimes we feel that there is no insight. All we need to do is look within ourselves, find your candle, and light it.

The warmth that comes from this light is enormous….

Remember that the healing energy source comes from God or your higher spiritual being, "Without God there is no healing." We are only the facilitator, conduit or jumper cables that provide the energy to flow from God through our hands to the one receiving the treatment..

My First Reiki Session.....

Let's say, that I was somewhat skeptical in the beginning, thinking what I am doing,,, One of my associates knew what I was doing, so after I was attuned to the Reiki energy she asked if I would try it on her. I was a little hesitant thinking what if this doesn't work, but I told her OK and that I would need my books to guide me thorough my positions. In Reiki, you have certain hand positions starting from the Crown Chakra working to the root chakra… I placed my hands on her and she felt the warmth. I could not really feel anything at this time, but by the time I was at her throat chakra, she was shaking, she was having spasms and jerking motions, the throat chakra relates to communication or expressing yourself.

I was not prepared for this sort of thing to happen, I asked God to guide me and bring peace to her. I talked her through the spasms. In addition, she cried and released much emotion. She kept asking why is this happening, and all I could at that time was to tell her that she has a lot of emotions trapped and she needed to verbalize them. After she relaxed, we continued through all the positions, after an hour we ended our session.

Wow, what an enlightenment for me. It was at that time that I was convinced that anyone can channel the healing energy from God and the Universe. There are times when we receive a sign when we are in doubt, and this WAS definitely my sign.

Since my associates first treatment to now (over 2 years ago), she does not have these spasms. She feels that she has come a long way since the first therapy treatment.

Bringing the "Healing Energy" into my Treatment Room......

Through the months, I continued to practice my Reiki treatments on my clients, without them being aware of my treatment. In skin care, we are allowed to only massage the face, shoulders and arms, so from that point on, I prayed silently that their upper body represented their body, mind and soul. My massage technique changed over the months that followed. With Reiki and all healing energy, we are suppose to let the client know what we are doing and ask if they accept this treatment or are willing to accept and be open. At that time, I didn't think my customers would understand. You see, this is coming from a totally other side of me. I had never dreamed that I would be interested or believe in what I truly believed now.

Over the months, I had some clients say to me, you have "healing hands", and after a while I felt comfortable with myself and in what I was practicing. I started to share my excitement and explained to my clients what I was practicing. Therefore, I began introducing my clients to the healing energy. I explained to them that I am only the facilitator of this energy source. It comes from the Universe.

It is surprising to find out that many of my clients were on the same path as I. We believed in the healing energy, the positive you, the love and God within ourselves. It is as if, my clients were drawn to my salon, or say that we were meant to be. Sometimes, you think that you are on this path alone, but we are not at all alone. Once we open our hearts, ideas and share, with others, it all comes into play.

With much encouragement or satisfaction from my clients, I continued to read everything I could get my hands on various subjects; healing, chakras, meditation, kundalini, and body mind, etc.

What I would like to share with all of you, is how the "Healing Energy" became a saving grace to me and how this energy transformed into my work and me.

At times we feel reluctant to change, as I know I have, but change is good. Take it as it comes and believe that change is good. Take these changes and make good of it. From the changes we grow, without growth we become stale. From stale we then die. Don't let this happen to you.

Give it time to absorb, at first this writer was hesitant in her beliefs, but now she is a true believer in the healing energy and she will share with you how you can bring this force into your place of home or work. It works everywhere and anywhere.

What I Feel........

The sensations in the beginning were warmth in my hands to tingles in my body from my head to my legs. The clients would twinge and say that my hands were very hot. Emotions were displayed. As the months went on, the energy became very strong and intense. I now see colors that I relate to the chakra colors, which represents physical and mental emotions….

Now the energy that is channeled through me is stronger than ever that it makes me tremble, shake. My clients feel this trembling and they say it is like a surge of energy going through their body.

I tell them I am just like a "jumper cable" that brings in energy from the Universe. It is funny, but most of my clients don't think I am weird. They feel and they believe in this energy. There are a few that are very left brained individuals and they need a reason why this happens. I cannot tell them other than what I feel. Once, they let their guard down, they admittedly say that they feel the energy. However, they didn't want to say so, since there are no immediate answer as to why.

I use to only feel these sensations just in the treatment room, but now when I think of the energy being channeled through me, my body trembles and my body rocks back and forth. I am so grateful for the energy being channeled through me. I am honored that I have been chosen, or most importantly have become aware of what is available and what is inside each and everyone of us.

The joy and happiness that it brings to my clients and myself is tremendous. There is so much more love and warmth between all of us. It is funny, what many practitioners in our industry (skin care) don't see, and that is that the connection between client and aesthetician is so important. We don't seem to remember the "3 C's" of Massage, which is Center, Connect and Compassion. These three things are so important. If you want to be there with me, let's begin to take charge of ourselves and share the energy that is available to all.

In Conclusion........

Energy work seems to open many doors for those that have opened there heart and souls to this Universal Energy. You continue to grow daily. You search for more things to read you look for things that are within the same realm.

As I have mentioned before, energy can be channeled through anyone, you just need to focus.
